Who we are
This website is run by Gaffneys Waterproofing and Tiling Services Pty Ltd, based in Wollongong, NSW. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Gaffneys. You can contact Paul on 0432 685 338 or at paul.gaffney@hotmail.com.
What we collect
When you contact Gaffneys, we collect the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, phone number, email address, suburb or postcode, the work you are asking about, your preferred contact time and any photos you send.
Photos may show details of your home, so please only upload photos you are comfortable sharing. Photos uploaded through our website forms are resized and converted into a new image before being emailed to us, which removes embedded details such as photo location information. If a photo cannot be processed safely, the form will ask you to choose a different file.
How we use your information
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, discuss the work you need, prepare quotes, arrange next steps and keep records relating to work you engage us to carry out.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. We do not send promotional emails without the consent required by law.
How your enquiry reaches us
When you submit a form, its details and any accepted photos pass securely through our website and are sent using SMTP2GO, our email delivery provider, to Paul's email account with Microsoft.
The website does not keep a separate copy of your enquiry or uploaded photos after the form has been processed. Your email enquiry and any attached photos remain in our email account for as long as reasonably needed to deal with your request and our business records.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and keep it only as long as needed for our business purposes or legal obligations. Our website uses HTTPS for form submissions.
To help prevent spam and misuse, the website records limited technical details, such as submission times and coded network identifiers. These technical records do not include your message, photos or contact details. Records used to control repeated requests are generally removed within two days; other operational logs are scheduled for removal after 90 days as the form's cleanup process runs.

Access, correction and deletion
You can contact Paul to ask about the personal information we hold, request a correction or ask us to delete information that is no longer needed, subject to any legal record-keeping requirements. We will respond within a reasonable time.
